Sydney, N.S. – On Thursday, September 27th, tune into the 5th Annual Cape Breton Cares Radiothon as inspirational stories and community spirit take-over the airwaves in Cape Breton. The Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation and Cape Breton Radio will come together again to help raise donations in the community to help purchase equipment and fund upgrades at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital.

Sydney, NS – The Board of Directors of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation (the Foundation) is pleased to announce that Brad Jacobs has been named CEO. Jacobs will officially begin work with the Foundation on September 1st, 2012.

As a loud and proud Caper, it gives me great pride to say that I’m coming home! Last Friday I was thrilled to accept the position as CEO of the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation.
When you sign up for a Petro Points Card at the Sydney River or Bars D’or Petro Canada locations, $1 will be donated to the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation.
“I wanted to give a little bit back to my community and the Cape Breton Regional Hospital is something that everyone in our community relies on at some point,” commented Craig Cann, President of CMR Gas.. “You never know when you or a family member will need the Regional so I just wanted to do my part to help out.”

Play Fore Kids
On Friday, July 26th, join the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation and the YMCA of Cape Breton for the 2nd Annual Play Fore Kids Charity Golf Tournament at The Lakes Golf Club. Support two of Cape Breton’s largest charities through one event and help us take steps forward in children’s health! Last year, this tournament sold out, hosting 144 players from Cape Breton’s business community. All proceeds raised support the Pediatrics Unit at the Regional Hospital and the YMCA’s children’s programs.
