With consideration for our community’s safety and COVID-19 restrictions, the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation and Because You Care Cup committee regret to announce that Because You Care Cup will not take place in 2021. The 2022 event will be evaluated as the year approaches.

As any past participant knows, this event is something we all looked forward to each year. It showcases community, friendships and fun, all while supporting a tremendous cause. But, we want to ensure that we can have events like this in the future. And to do that, we need to work together now, and keep our community safe.

Thank you to all of our incredible sponsors, volunteers, participating teams and our local community for your continued support and dedication to this event. Because of you, we’ve been able to raise more than $387,000 to strengthen healthcare in Cape Breton.
