Our philosophy
Mission
To help Cape Bretoners live full and healthy lives.
Vision
To instill a spirit of giving to link the generosity of donors with the health care needs of Cape Bretoners.
Who we are
The Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation is a non-profit, charitable organization established to ensure quality health care for all Cape Bretoners. Through support from the community, we raise funds for state-of-the-art equipment and enhanced services at the Regional Hospital. Every dollar you give is used to improve health care for the patients of the Regional Hospital
Since 1991, thanks to the generosity of our community, more than $15 million has been raised to purchase medical equipment that has dramatically reduced wait times and provided an increased menu of services – closer to home.
Our projects include the Cape Breton Cancer Centre Expansion, a new MRI and bone densitometer, innovative surgical equipment, incubators and monitors for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit and the new Palliative Care Unit. These projects have helped ensure an additional 125 people a day receive care at the Regional instead of traveling to Halifax.
