Complaints Policy

The Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation takes all complaints seriously, and will make it a priority to respond to all complaints by the end of the business day that they are received.

On receipt of a complaint, the Chief Executive Officer will determine if further action is required. A complaint may be dismissed if, in the opinion of the Chief Executive Officer:

• On its face, it is frivolous or invalid
• Is otherwise deemed inappropriate for consideration
• If the complaint is deemed valid, the Chief Executive Officer will further investigate the matter and recommend what action if any is needed

All complaints will be recorded and noted to the Board of Directors through the CEO’s report to the Board.

Questions, concerns or complaints relating to the Foundations privacy policy or the treatment of personal information should be addressed to the Foundations Privacy Officer at foundation@cbdha.nshealth.ca, or:
