“I have been a supporter of the Regional Hospital Foundation for a long time. But when I was diagnosed with cancer I came to rely on the Cape Breton Cancer Centre. After going through cancer treatment, I saw firsthand the impact donor have on patients at the Regional Hospital. I wanted to do more than just donate a little bit here and a little bit there over the year. I became a monthly donor. Won’t you join me in the Monthly Friendship Club?”
Becoming a monthly donor is convenient and affordable. You choose how much is deducted from your bank account and credit card each month.
When you join the Monthly Friendship Club, you can trust that your donations will be used to help patients get the care they need at home. Your monthly donations:
- provide a reliable source of income, allowing the Foundation to take on long-term project, like funding an expensive piece of life-saving equipment
- help cut costs of fundraising. You won’t receive additional appeals, reducing the amount of paper and postage that is used
- offer long-term stability if an important piece of equipment breaks and needs to be fixed quickly
When you become a member of the Monthly Friendship Club, the Foundation leaves the important decisions to you.
You choose how much you donate. It can be as little as $10 a month. The choice is yours.
You chose what area of the Regional Hospital you support. Please click here to view the priorities needs for 2012.
At the end of the year, you will receive a tax receipt for the total amount of your donation.
As a member of our Monthly Friendship Club, you will help guarantee that the best care is available for you, your family, you friends and your neighbours when they need it.
The Foundation has a special way of recognizing monthly donors. Members of the Monthly Friendship Club have thier name displayed on the beautiful donor mural on the main floor of the Regional Hospital.

Golf For Dad – In Support of Prostate Cancer
Over the course of their lives, one in seven Canadian men will develop prostate cancer. And one in 27 of them, will die from it.
On June 8th, 2012, Golf for Dad – in support of the Cape Breton Cancer Centre, will take place at The Lakes Golf Club, in Ben Eoin. Grab your favorite golf buddies and come out for a great golf day, all in support of the Cape Breton Cancer Centre. Included in your package is a pre game reception the night before the tournament, lunch and a BBQ on the course with a full steak dinner to end the day.
All funds raised will be donated to the Cape Breton Cancer Centre, in support of Prostate Cancer.

5th Annual Cape Breton Cares Radiothon!

The 5th Annual Cape Breton Cares Radiothon will take place on September 27th, 2012.
Last year, our community came together to raise more than $506,000 at the Cape Breton Cares Radiothon. Thanks to your support, we were able to purchase critical equipment and fund upgrades for departments throughout the Regional Hospital. Click here for more information on Radiothon.
This 12-hour long event is the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation’s biggest and most exciting event. And it is all thanks to your support!
