Memorial and In Honour Giving

In Honour

Making a gift to the Foundation in-honour of a birthday, anniversary, wedding or holiday is a great way to celebrate that special occasion. Gifts can be designated to a specific fund or to the area of greatest need.

If you wish, the Foundation will send a card, acknowledging your donation, to the individual you choose.

In Memory

A memorial gift is a caring expression for someone who has been special to you. A donation, no matter the size, says their life made a difference. Whether to a designated area inside the hospital that has touched them personally or to the area of greatest need, your gift of remembrance will make a difference in the life of a patient at the Regional Hospital.

“My Grammie passed away after 98 beautiful years. She was so special to me and I wanted to do something more for her. I made a donation, in her memory, to the An Cala Palliative Care Unit at the Regional Hospital. Grammie spent her last hours, surround by her family in that unit.” – Jenna Johnston.

Memorial donation cards are available at all funeral homes in the area or by calling Jennifer at (902) 567-7752. For your convenience, donors may obtain a supply of cards for personal use.

On Friday, July 26th, join the Cape Breton Regional Hospital Foundation and the YMCA of Cape Breton for the 2nd Annual Play Fore Kids Charity Golf Tournament at The Lakes Golf Club. Support two of Cape Breton’s largest charities through one event and help us take steps forward in children’s health! Last year, this tournament sold out, hosting 144 players from Cape Breton’s business community. All proceeds raised support the Pediatrics Unit at the Regional Hospital and the YMCA’s children’s programs.
